Our children with special needs are often unique individuals who do not always have the words to tell us what they wants or need. Sometimes they scream, grab, bite hit, push, run or simply sit and refuse to move.
As parents or teachers do you struggle to understand the meaning and purpose of these challenging behaviors?
As a National Board Certified Education Specialist of 25 years I have studied and educated children with all types of challenging behaviors. I have worked with families and fellow educators, teaching them strategies and providing them with the tools needed to help them assist their children to be accepted and productive members of our society.
As a parent of a child with autism, understanding and supporting his behavioral needs became a journey and a passion. It's funny, my son truly helped me to become a better parent and teacher. His challenging behaviors were truly a blessing.
I am here today to guide you on a journey of self discovery and adventure. This challenge will teach you to understand and use your child's behaviors as a key to unlocking their super powers, while creating a path of fun and joy for you, your family and your child's teachers.

YOU WILL LEARN THROUGH A VIDEO PRESENTATION
Module 1. Let's get to know our child with special needs
In this module you will complete interest and learning style surveys to gain insights regarding your child.
Module 2. My child has Super Powers! How do I help them use their powers for "good"?
In this module you will learn techniques to teach your child to use their skills and interests in socially acceptable ways.
Module 3. How we say what we say.
In this module you will learn the importance of using positive verbal and physical encouragement to help your child reach various personal goals.
Module 4. Let's Practice what we have learned.

A specialist serving students and their families in the field of Positive Behavior Support and inclusive education practices.
